Malakov

Ingredients

  • 40 ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup raisins secs
  • rhum
  • 2/3 cup lait
  • 1+1/2 Tbsp maizena
  • 3 jaune d'oeuf
  • 2 Tbsp cafe, fort
  • 1 tsp vanille, extrait
  • 2/3 cup beurre
  • 2/3 cup sucre
  • 1/2 cup amandes, en batonnets
  • 1 cup cafe
  • 1 petit creme a fouetter

Instructions

Soak the raisins in rhum for several hours. Mix milk, starch, egg yolks, 2Tbsp coffee and vanilla in a metal bowl. Heat in a hot water bath until thick. = A Refroidir completement Mix butter and sugar. = B Add slowly A to B. Add almonds and raisins. Mix coffee and rhum. = C Line a large bowl with alufoil. Then layer:

  • ladyfingers. Pour some C on them
  • half of the filling
  • ladyfingers + C
  • the other half of the filling
  • ladyfingers + C
  • alufoil
  • plate (to press down) Put for 24 hours into the fridge. Reverse and cover with whipping cream.
